Tafalla Iron Foundry has reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility by renewing its collaboration agreement with the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), a long-standing alliance that has become a cornerstone of how we understand the company and its role within the community. This renewal drives new initiatives focused on awareness, prevention, volunteering, and support for patients and families, fully aligned with our values as a cooperative and with our vision of promoting a positive impact both inside and beyond our organization.
A partnership with a transformative purpose
AECC and TIF share a conviction: the fight against cancer requires sustained, real, and coordinated action. The framework agreement —signed by both entities in Pamplona— establishes lines of collaboration that range from awareness campaigns to volunteer activities and participation in solidarity events. Among them, the following stand out:
- Dissemination and support for prevention and awareness activities aimed at the community and TIF members.
- Promotion of volunteer work, facilitating participation in campaigns promoted by the AECC.
- Collaboration in annual initiatives, such as the 2026 fundraising campaign or the Pamplona March Against Cancer, encouraging the active involvement of our social base.
- Signing and dissemination of an institutional declaration on the occasion of the International Cancer Day.
The agreement also establishes joint monitoring mechanisms to ensure the proper development of the agreed actions and to consolidate ongoing collaboration over time.
Supporting a key project: La Casa de la Vida
This renewal comes at a particularly meaningful moment for AECC. TIF had the opportunity to take part in laying the first stone of the Espacio Abierto – La Casa de la Vida, a new center in Pamplona that will bring together in one place all the free services the association offers to patients and their families.
The project aims to become a benchmark in humanization, support, and social innovation, creating an accessible and welcoming environment where people can find psychological assistance, guidance, group activities, information, and spaces for connection.
