Minimizing final piece defects

In this phase, which is critical to eliminate any defects on the final piece, we prepare the green sand, where we introduce the cores and precisely pour the molten iron into the mold.

HWS line

  • Capacity of 150 molds per hour.
  • Box size of 1,400 x 1,000 mm
  • Manufacture of pieces for cars (motor blocks) or industrial vehicles (motor blocks and cylinder heads).
  • Molding process through pressure by multiple rammers and SEIATSU®.
  • Inserting the cores in the mold using robots with artificial vision system.
  • Two press-pour units with a capacity of 9 tons each.
  • A inmould colling circuit where they stay in their molds for 1 to 8 hours.

Zimmermann line

  • Capacity of 103 molds per hour.
  • Box size of 1,000 x 700 mm
  • Melting of pieces for industrial or private vehicles.
  • We use a cool ladle for the melting process.
  • A inmould cooling circuit with a maximum duration of 2,5 hours.
